  1. I own a Lenovo Legion Y540 with i7 9750h and GTX 1660 Ti. While Playing AAA games like The Witcher 3 my GPU temps never go beyond 70 degrees and CPU temps above 75 degrees Celsius with CPU maintaining 4 GHz on all cores. I overclocked my GPU by +160 MHz on core and +320 Mhz on memory and undervolted my CPU by -140 mV. Maybe I'm lucky!

  2. hey i just bought acer nitro5, 2019 model, it has i5 9gen, gtx 1050 3gb, for 39k INR (549USD),and i installed 240gb sata ssd,

    i live in india, and as i play cs go , or pubg lite, cpu temp hits 90+ on just 40% load and stays so till i play game, heat managment is bad,

    i saw an undervolting video, can i do it on mine to reduce temp, coz i am afraid ill burn it down or reduce life time, coz max cpu temp is 100 degree,

    now i regret i should have gone for gtx 1650 version for 770$, it had 256 nvme ssd, this is my first laptop, can u help me please

  3. Heya Jarrod need to ask you for advice :

    Buying a laptop like y540 or 740 from Legion are to much for my games choices and my purpose , but they are almost over 20 % on sale so thinking of buying one these days ( for the future ). Playing low demanding games on those gaming beasts Laptops, can it come to overthroatling, or that CPU and GPU temps go high over 80 or 90 . How does it affect laptops by playing low demanding games on it through Temperatures and fan noise. Im concerned about the fans speed, If i play low demanding games on suchs good Laptops there won t be any fan noise cause there won t be any reason to go on turbo mode like Acer Helios 300, those fans were loud at almost 60 db. PS. Your channel Rocks.

  4. Hello jarrod. Can u help me which Lenovo Legion model is the best value for money.

    Here in Malaysia (online shopping);

    (New) Y540 i5 9gen GTX1650 : 811 USD

    (Used 8 months) Y740 i7 8gen RTX2060 : 1070 USD

    (New) Y540 i7 9gen GTX1660TI: 1200 USD

  5. No matter what I look at, I'm always finding that Dell's G3 and G5 laptops equipped with the 9750H, 16GB and 1660ti seem like the best bang for the buck. More expensive than the Nitro 5, cheaper than the Y540. And from what I felt with a floor model G5 is it's pretty sturdy. Even the G3 felt sturdier to a Nitro 5. That and the Nitro 5 lacks mini DP or a USB C with Alternate Mode.

  6. Hey Jarrod, sorry for the unrelated question, but is there any reason to purchase the Razer Blade 15 with RTX 2080 Max Q over the Asus GX502?

    The Blade seems to have worse FPS than the Zephyrus in most games and even if we chalk it up to driver optimizations, it's still paying almost 1000 USD more for basically the same performance.

  7. I would say the Lenovo beats the Acer in this round. The Y540 looks professional and clean. I would rather have a laptop with a higher quality cooling solution and no thermal throttling issues. High temperatures and thermal throttling will reduce the life span of any laptop.

  8. I was thinking about adding more ram to my scar 2. What is better a 16gb stick to have a total 32gb or get a 16gb kit? Team Group's ram is looking very nice right now.

  9. Seeing comments, Lenovo should actually send you every new gaming laptop they produce with option to keep it for free given how much money you earned them 😀
