New Galaxy Fit by Samsung [2019 New Galaxy Wearable] – Long Battery, Heart Rate, Water Resistant

Samsung just released a $99 smart watch which is small, comfortable, light weight, and has a very long battery life. In this video, I review the pros and cons as well as the functions and features of this new smart watch.

On Amazon:

Some extra review notes:
* How tight does it need to be? It was able to detect my heart rate on the least tight notch (tightest it goes on my wrist is the fourth tightest notch) – this may be less accurate though. The watch was extremely loose on my wrist here
* Range? This is Bluetooth 5.0, so the range matches that
* Does the Galaxy fit operate independently of a phone? – yes. You just will not be able to see phone notifications, location specific items, or anything else which requires external communication. All watch features function just fine (sleep, pedometer, heart rate, etc.)
* Waterproof? – Yes, rated to 5ATM which means splashing, showering, swimming, and more, but no scuba diving or extreme water sports
* Find my galaxy fit feature – must be connected to the phone, but it connects automatically
* Find my phone feature – great way to find your phone, even when it is on silent
* User manual was not working for me in the Galaxy Wear app
* Very light and comfortable
* Some cons – this watch unfortunately does not have GPS or any on board storage for music. This watch also uses a pedometer which is an inaccurate way of tracking your runs or walks.
* The on board heart rate monitor is nice, and the sleep tracking is a fascinating feature. These two are my favorite features of this watch.

  1. This review is dated June 18, 2019, but I'm not sure which Fit you're reviewing: Fit 1, Fit 2, Fit 2 pro, or the anticipated Fit 3 / Fit e. You did mention that it's the latest release so a closer shot of the box would have been nice.  If it's the Fit e and it's released internationally prior to the US market, it'll explain why you're in metric mode instead of the English system (ft., mile, etc.).

  2. still not syncable with the fitbit app. Which pisses me & the wife off. Samsungs health app is great. I use it all the time, but both of us have lots of data & friends in fitbit. Wish the 2 could be linked.

  3. Great review had the watch for about a week now my only 2 problems with it is the step counter sometimes stops moving and sometimes the calorie burnt sometimes changes by a few hundred for a few minutes then goes back to normal what is the best watch you can buy for roughly the same price which will give me a reliable step counter on it

  4. Heard the galaxy fit e is trash, heard there's a new Samsung active 2 coming out only 3 months after the galaxy active. Wonder if it will have a digital dial…🤔 For me only Garmin , Google wearOS or iWatch. As I want external hr sensor and bicycle watch mount. Samsung and Fitbit don't support external hr sensors. Use watch sensor for jog, use external forearm sensor for bike..

  5. 5 and a half days is long battery? I get 18 days in my mi Band 3, if I use heart rate and sleep tracking I get 10 and a half days. Galaxy fit is a no go.
Mi Band 3 does every thing that galaxy fit does with the exception of the coloured screen.

  6. To change km to miles…..go to Samsung Health app, click on top right 3 dots and choose settings. Once new window opens, select Units of measurement. Select distance and in new window change km to miles.
