  1. Perfect review, like always, was waiting for your thermals results for this model. Still too hot with heavy games, even with undervolt + cooling pad the owner should keep an eye on internals temp. And the warm keyboard isnt the best to use when internal temp reach such levels. Thanks Jarod.

  2. I will buy this laptop the moment they add a proper screen instead of this low quality one. Either a 1440p 120hrz or 4k. Even Oled would be better since it gets rid of back light bleed

  3. Can you recommend a laptop that's long-lasting yet affordable? I need laptop that I can use for both school and gaming.

I don't really understand any of these tech terms or have any knowledge about pcs /laptops at all.

    Thank you.

  4. Which 240hz laptop has the fastest response time for screen?

I’m currently using the zowie Ben q xL2546 (240hz/1080p/DyAc) and want to get a laptop for trips but I NEED a 240hz monitor with the fastest response time on the monitor because I only play cs-go.

  5. Hey Jarrod, can you compare the Helios 1660 Ti and the 2060? I watched your video and compared it to someone running games on the 2060 and seems like 1660 ti is running better with more fps than the 2060

  6. Agree with most comments. It’s 80% of Apple quality in terms of finishing and design but panel quality not great (poor Brightness and lightbleed) – I had 3 Razer 15 (2018 models) and same applies.

As an owner of this 17” model, it’s a perfect supplement to my main pc rig (2080ti with 27 inch 144hz 4K)
whilst away from home. The 17” panel is large enough without the need for me to hunch over the screen for detailed work and gaming which is mandatory for prolonged use.

I was surprised the RTX 2060 is sufficient for gaming as well, I dabble with RB6 with some graphics tuning, it pumps out 144fps. I was surprised there was no tearing with the absence of G-Sync and no stutters. I paid way more for the same specs from the products from vendors (MSI and Acer) but what I wanted was something that is thin and light, minimal plastic finishing and one that is the least gamer looking (I use dBrand to cover the ugly green logo) and have decent cooling with bearable noise output. For those Apple fans which wants to switch to this for work and gaming, this is so much better than my MacBook 15 Vega 20.

1080p resolution…. meehhhhhh and wished it was higher definition (happy to sacrifice frames) and to compensate , I use GeForce Freestyle filters and TXAA to improve sharpness and clarity. Not great solution but it is what it is.

From my experience with top end MacBooks and Windows notebooks, this is the best Windows portable machine money can buy right now.

Speakers, no where as good as the MacBooks and it sounds hollow. And keep in mind the weight of the power brick, it’s heavy if you are used to notebooks with USB-C chargers but the damn thing needs a large brick as it is the watts to power this beast.
