Wearable Weather | That's Amazing

Be it the gentle patter of a misty morning drizzle or the din of a deluging downpour, we all know the sight, the sound, even the smell, of rain. Dutch artist Aliki van der Kruijis felt the beauty behind rain should be celebrated and documented, so she developed a method of “pluviography” — drawing with rain — to imprint raindrops onto wearable textiles. Her hope is that people will begin to see rain’s beauty via her artwork.

  1. I absolutely LOVE the rain! I suffer from light sensitivity so cloudy or overcast days are the best. And the rain, omg!! The smells, the sounds. When I sleep I ALWAYS wake up feeling great! It gives me this feeling of clean, or renewal. Like the rain and wind has come to wash away all the bad stuff in the air and on the ground. So when the clouds finally part you can see the world in what seems to be an even brighter light.

  2. I thought it would be like wearable temperature, because it is nearly as hot as the sun here in the Philippines ! this is why i dont stay in my country that often, our everyday temperature is 32c, and the coldest it has been here is only 8c ughh. Where do I buy wearable temperature. I need it.

  3. AMAZINGLY AMAZING 💘💘 you can wear nothing more beautiful than this … it's just ART!
If I was able to do it… I would have worn nothing but clothes made by her rain tainted fabric… not just that it's blue, but each piece is an intimate story… between rain, the artist, the fabric and the lucky one who'll wear it and keep feeling it till the rain warms his heart 💞💞 just in love with the concept, and respect both the grandpa and his awesome granddaughter 👴👱
